+ Happy New Year! (09/01/2012 - 10:49:25)
Happy New Year!
Firstly, I would like to wish everyone a happy new year!
December 2011 was a very busy month for me, recording seasonal voiceovers for my IVR/on hold clients and Christmas public announcements for shopping centres across the UK, including Bluewater Shopping Centre in Kent, Clayton Square Shopping Centre in Liverpool and Princes Mall in Edinburgh.
I also had the pleasure of working again with the lovely people at Four Corners Film & Video Production, providing the voiceover for the next video in the series for KWR Waterware. Here is the first video I recorded the voiceover for, earlier in the year:
A new addition to my client list in December came in the form of the guys from Zero Trace, an energy consultancy company, who asked me to provide the voiceover for a short video about their new energy management portal, Trace. They were really great to work with and I wish them all the success they deserve with the launch this month!
One of the highlights of the last month was the airing of the Veno's cough mixture TV commercial on ITV1, for which I provided the voiceover for the female character. Here's the ad recorded off the telly on my iPhone (so it's a bit wobbly!):
The commercial is currently airing on ITV1 until the end of January 2012 and will be back on our screens in December 2012.
2011 was a great year for me professionally. I got to work with some really great people on some fantastic projects and I can't wait to see what 2012 has in store!
Welcome to my blog!
Hello everyone and thank you for visiting my website!
So, I thought I'd start having a go at this blogging malarky, not only to keep my site up to date with what I have been working on voiceover-wise, but also to share any groovy tips, gadgets and sites that I may come across relating to any of the aspects of this fabulous industry that I am lucky enough to work in.
It's been a busy week so far, what with all the Christmas messages that need to be recorded for my IVR and 'on hold' clients, as well as countless shopping centres across the UK. It's all starting to feel very festive in my little studio.
I also recorded the female character voiceover for the Veno's TV commercial this week. It is the first TV advertising campaign in a decade for the cough medicine brand, which has been a household name for over 100 years.
The TV commercial will air from the 5th December 2011 on terrestrial and satellite channels including ITV1 and features a computer animated parrot as the main character.
The advert is being created and produced by the very nice people at Space City Productions
It has also been a week of discussing new ventures with clients both old and new, which is always very exciting, but more of that later.
Well, I guess that wraps up my first blog! Until next time... this is me, signing off!
